"THE IDLER"
When J. P. Knapp first came to Bellport in 1894 he had this very fine yacht at his disposal. Claire Knapp would of been about five years old and Dodi three. J. P. possibly sailed Idler into Carmen's River up to Squasocks Landing in Brookhaven when he leased the river from the Tangier Smiths that year.
