TAKE NOTE!
Back in July, I wrote and added what I called The Final Chapter as far as the Knapps were concerned with this website. This morning (Sept. 27) I added a spotlight photo of the Mastic Beach Grace Lutheran Class circa 1954. Just a little piece of Mastic Beach history or so I thought. About two hours later the mail lady brought to my door this little Sunday School songbook from 1869........ sometimes I just got to wonder ?????
It's 176 pages published by Phoebe Knapp's brother Walter C. Palmer Jr and printed by her husband's litho firm Major & Knapp. Phoebe wrote about 80% of the music printed in here and although its all religious orientated , she does slip "Watching For Pa" the one secular tune I know of that she wrote.
