Sound Wave Recording Studio

Sound Wave Recording is a well equipped studio, capable of tracking, overdubbing, and mixing your project from beginning to end.

Located near Nashville's famed Music Row, Sound Wave is a good choice for major & independent label CD projects, as well as demos, and music for film & TV.

The studio features a large, comfortable control room, a main studio room with iso booth, and a large piano room for our nine foot concert grand piano made by the famed Russian maker, Estonia.

An extensive collection of equipment, featuring classic tube sound and modern solid state gear is included for all studio sessions.


Microphones include AKG, Neumann, Schoeps, B&K, Audio-Technica, Shure, Electrovoice, and Microtech-Geffell. More than enough mics are in our mic locker to track a full band.

High end studio gear rarely found in a mid priced studio such as Neve, Massenburg, Demeter, TLA, and Studio Technologies mic preamps are used direct to tape or digital recorder. The signal only goes to the Sound Craft automated console when monitoring or mixing. This is the way the largest and most expensive studios track their sessions.

Analog and Digital recording are both available, 2 inch 24 track MCI machine is popular for many bands and artists. We also feature high resolution digital audio recording on the HD-24 and the Nuendo system running on a dual processor Mac G-4. Antares vocal tuning is also available.

Mixing to analog tape often brings warmth and fullness to digital recordings that is not achieved in any other way. Mixdown is done to either 1/2 inch analog tape or the Masterlink high resolution digital recorder.
