Mackay Island Today

These photos were taken in early March 2005 by Wanda Morris a student of Virginia Wesleyan College as she and her volunteers participated in planting 1,500 Oak trees at Live Oak Point. This is the actual spot on Mackay Island where Joseph Palmer Knapp built his version of Mount Vernon in 1920. To see how it looked then click on the link below.
